Doctor G has just recently released on the 14th of October, 2022. The film is a hilarious take on how the male protagonist – Uday Gupta (played by Ayushmann Khurrana) ends up entering the gynecology department that is heavily populated by females. The film brings forth many serious messages also.
The lone male student has to lose his “male touch” to become a successful and dutiful doctor and towards the end of the film, he successfully loses his male touch and truly becomes one of the most intelligent and diligent students of the gynecology department. The film presents subtle comedy and romance. There are several questions that can come up in our minds. But still, this social comedy is definitely a youth-centric film as it very amazingly shows the struggle and learning process of a medical student in a medical college.
4. WHY CHEAT INDIA
Why Cheat India is a film that was released on 18th of January, 2019. The movie is a bitter yet truthful take on the faults and defects of the Indian education system. The film showcases the fraudulent practices which happen during the time of jobs and admissions.
5. SHAADI MEIN ZAROOR AANA
Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana was released at the box office on the 10th of November, 2017. Bollywood has constantly evolved and it makes movies based on various social issues. This film is also of the same kind. Satyendra Mishra aka Sattu, played by Rajkummar Rao is a young clerk at the beginning of the film.
Starring opposite Rajkummar Rao is actress Kriti Kharbanda, who plays Aarti Shukla. She holds a Masters Degree but is forced to enter into the traditional setup of marriage. The two of them meet in an arranged marriage setup, develop a liking for each other and eventually agree to take the plunge. The film also brings forth the issue of dowry and the girl’s father has to agree to the same. Thus, this film shows a quite bitter take on the patriarchal setup that still exists greatly.
The storm in the story arises when Aarti eloped from her wedding as she learned about her qualifying for the PCS exam on her first attempt. She had apprehensions about pursuing her career post-marriage because of the traditional thinking of society and their families. So she decides that running is the best option for her. Sattu gets heartbroken learning about her betrayal.
As the story progresses 5 years later, Sattu now becomes a well-groomed IAS district collector. He meets Aarti. What proceeds is their outburst followed by their ultimate happy reunion in the end. Youths will surely connect with this film as it has all the flavors of romance, love, career, societal pressure, etc.
6. JAB WE MET
Jab We Met is a timeless film. We are super sure that many of us must have watched this film more than 10 times. When the movie was released in 2007, it was nothing but a breath of fresh air. Aditya Kashyap, played by Shahid Kapoor is a tycoon who senselessly boards a train where he meets Geet Kaur Dhillon, played by Kareena Kapoor, and what follows is their journey full of romantic moments, comedy, bittersweet realizations of life, etc. Also, the music of this movie deserves special mention.

The movie is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel titled Five Point Someone. 3 idiots revolve around three engineering students and the pressure they encounter while struggling to carve a niche for themselves in life. This film undoubtedly has a massive youth appeal.
